Welcome!I am a photographer specializing in babies, children, and lifestyle portrait photography. My natural light studio is located in Highland and I enjoy shooting in the surrounding areas of the Hudson Valley. My life is a journey which includes a wonderful husband & three little people, ages 4, 6, and 8. I have always loved capturing memories with my camera. I picked up a class in college to learn the basics, but it wasn't until after I had my first daughter that I really started shooting every day. After working as an elementary school teacher, I switched gears to photography. I have been dedicated to learning all about it by attending workshops, classes, and shooting as much as I can. Life is hectic but I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't get through my day without chocolate, and at least one good laugh, usually provided by one of my children. My style could be described as candid, playful, sometimes detailed, and always natural. I utilize whatever natural light I can find and shoot mostly outdoors. I enjoy shooting portraits of children and families in a natural setting while they are doing something they enjoy. My main focus is to make people feel comfortable and allow them to go about their day while I capture precious moments they can enjoy for many years. I would love to meet you and your family. Book a session now and help me tell your family's story. Contact me at leylacadabal@optonline.net or (845)706-5748 |

In the Boudoir…your story
Posted on April 4, 2013
I love slideshows. There is nothing better than watching your images on a big screen, set to your favorite tunes. The music adds that layer of connection, emotion, and fulfillment that you experience as you relive those memories.
This particular project was a promotional video I did for a very close friend of mine, Syndi Acampora, who just happens to be a very talented photographer. She is just amazing with her niche of boudoir and glamour photography. I ended up trying it out for myself, and it was unforgettable. It is transformation. Pampering. Just a little intimidating, but as you can see, even SHE got in front of the lens. A big thanks to Photography by Elli, my sister in law and fabulous photographer! Oh.. and she’s in it too, by the way. Just gorgeous.
Syndi’s team of beautifiers will not only make you look beautiful, but FEEL beautiful too. Cristina has some serious makeup skills… and Caroline will make your hair look fabulous. I even got to try out some hair extensions, which was a lot of fun.
There is something about seeing an image of yourself and realizing that you can still be gorgeous. Especially as a mom of three young children, there are days when I feel far from it. This is just living proof that it is possible, we can still have “it” when we feel like making that effort to glam it out. People that know me will tell you, I am by no means the “glam” type and I was hesitant. I hardly ever wear makeup. As soon as I stepped foot in the mirror I knew that feeling needs to be replicated. You must do this, at least once in your life. Moms, daughters, aunts, and grandmothers.
Watch. Be inspired.

I have tried Instagram in the past but never really got into it. I recently went to a business workshop with the amazing Christina Blanarovich of Zen Photography and we touched on , , and of course Facebook. When you own your own business, it is important to be yourself, and share fun information so you are infusing your personality into your work. I make connections with my clients. I want them to connect with me too.
I just started up an Instagram account again, and I am hoping to have a little fun with it. I just tweeted my first picture of a half eaten avocado. My daughter is on spring break this week and we’ve been eating them like crazy.
Follow me and check out my adventure by clicking on the little camera below. I promise, I won’t be posting my daily meals. It wouldn’t be worth following me, unless you really like chocolate. And avocados.
